Hot aIr balloon rIde

One of the most exciting ways to experience the unique landscape and habitation of Cappadocia is to take a hot air balloon trip over the center of this area. Indeed, this is one of the most exhilarating balloon trips found anywhere in the world. Comfortable, quiet, and serene, this balloon adventure is a wonderful way to see the unique landscape as well as peek into the start of daily lives on the ground.

Departure: 
At sunrise every day, weather permitting. (Previous years have shown a 95% flying record) Pick-up from hotels in the area can be arranged for no extra charge, and also returns to rejoin tour groups usually around 9am. 

Program: 

Pick-up the passengers from the hotel and go to the take-off site which is carefully chosen depending on the wind direction on that particular day. We have over 30 different departure points in the area to ensure the most interesting flight-path, as once airborne the balloon will travel free with the wind. Preparation of the equipment takes about 20 minutes and the passengers are welcome to help or to take photographs as they wish. The flight time is between 1h and 1h.15 and includes both low contour flying and also going high enough to see the whole landscape from above. Because the balloon is separated from the earth, the passengers experience no sensation of fear or vertigo. It is no colder in the air than it is on the ground on that particular day. After the landing and pack-up of the balloon, we offer a celebration of the excellent local champagne and present the flight, certificates before returning to the hotel for a late breakfast.
